It was with disbelief and shock that we received the news of Jan’s death.
Just a few weeks ago we ate Flammkuchen at a German restaurant here in Oslo and we remembered the evening Jan had made Flammkuchen for us – his were so much better than those we got here.
We met Jan on our first evening in Berlin and it was thanks to him (and Ela, Suse and Karschi) that we felt immediately at home. Jan had his very own perspective and way to look at things that made him different and interesting and his dark humor is unforgettable.
We especially remember all those times we played Buzz, it was so much fun and always quite the competition!
Our thoughts go out to all his loved ones.
